What’s the deal on this Substack?

What kind of content should I expect?

  • Topics. The focus here is medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, pharmaceutical industry careers, and a bit of targeted protein degradation.

  • Types of posts

    • Tweetorials. Twitter is my main platform, so follow me there (@KRHornberger) if you want an early look on anything posted here. But Substack is good for longer form, so I also provide further details of interest and commentary on what inspired the Twitter posts.

    • Monthly Rambles. Here I pull out my favorite social media posts from the preceding month, also adding more commentary and context throughout as suits my whims.

  • Style. It’s written in an accessible and conversational style.

  • Audience

    • This Substack will be educational for undergraduate and graduate students thinking about a career in medicinal chemistry, med chem-allied professionals in the pharmaceutical industry, or those with some science background who just want to know more.

    • It’s equally useful as a refresher and conversation starter for old industry pros, so there’s something for everyone.

  • Frequency. The short answer is: when I feel like it and have time to pull a post together. A few times a month is typical, so your inbox won’t melt.
